Sure, we have a tutorial up on wiffiti.com… But how great is it when your users start putting up tutorials of their own?

We’re mucho impressed by this screencast by the folks over at NTCGeek. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves… (we’re serious).
The only critique is a slight pronunciation tweak:
Wiffiti = WHY-FEE-TEE (short for ‘wireless graffiti’).

Fantastic job guys, and thanks for using Wiffiti!

As we head towards the end of the year, it’s always telling to take a peek back on how we self-identified a year ago compared to where we find ourselves today. The most distinct change is the shift from categorizing our platform as location-based to place-based. A slight language tweak, but it represents not only an expansion of the digital out-of-home industry (and, subsequently, a tighter definition of sub-markets), but a clearer definition of our role as a social media distribution platform rather than a location-based service (e.g. FourSquare).

As a fun flashback (*cue fade-to-gray*), here’s where we were a year ago:

It’s been quite the year for Jumbli! It became one of the first 100 verified Facebook apps, took off in popularity on the Times Square Jumbotron (hitting 5.8 plays per second!), launched as an iPhone app on iTunes, found a very devoted audience both online and in bars and restaurants, and even spurred the creation of a Jumbli Addicts support group!

Here’s to another year of growing audiences and engaged addicts players!

Wiffiti‘s touring the country along with Disney star Demi Lovato this summer! Here’s some photos and a LIVE video from the Demi Lovato and David Archuleta concert at the Agganis Arena, Boston, June 2009. Look at how much the kids in the video love the interactivity :) Thousands of txts and photos were sent to the screen - they’re prolific, these tweens!

Don’t those projected screens look amazing?

Imagine seeing a photo of yourself at your favorite concert. Exhilarating.

Check out the size of the venue! It’s HUGE.
